PLEASE READ THIS KANI GORDON HAIR GROUP, INC SALON SERVICE AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”) CAREFULLY. WHEN YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS THROUGH KANI GORDON HAIR GROUP’S SCHEDULING PAGE, PAY US A FEE IN EXCHANGE FOR OUR SERVICES, OR OTHERWISE AGREE TO THE OWNER BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MAY NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.

EFFECTIVE TERM DATE. This Agreement is effective as of the date you first accept these terms through our salon services scheduling page, pay us a fee in exchange for our salon services, or otherwise book a service through the master cosmetologist, Kanishia Gordon, whichever occurs soonest (“Effective Date”). The initial term for the salon services shall start on the date you accept this Agreement by submitting your booking your salon appointment (“Session Agreement Start Date”) and continue for until the end time of your scheduled service appointment (“Term”).
This agreement is between Kanishia Gordon, Owner & Master Cosmetologist of Kani Gordon Hair Group (“Stylist”), and you (“Client”) (collectively as the “Parties”).

(1) UNDERSTANDING AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

1.1 The nature of the Cranial (Hair) Prosthesis procedure or Hair Loss Service will be explained to the client as well as its risk and permanent nature during the required client consultation. If the client does not book a consultation, they will not be serviced.

1.2 The client will receive written preparation instructions and will read and confirm that they are fully understood.

1.3 The client will inform the Master Cosmetologist aware of all medical conditions he/she is aware of including, but not exclusively: Disorders of the hair and scalp, Abnormal Heart Condition, Cold Sores (Herpes Simplex), Rheumatic Fever, Anaemia, Hemophillia, Prolonged Bleeding, High Blood Pressure, Low Blood Pressure, Or bleed easily, Bruise easily, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Thyroid Disturbance, Fainting or Dizziness, Kidney Diseases, Hepatitis, Cancer, Tumor, Growth or Cysts, Stroke, Tuberculosis, Healing Problems, HIV, Dermal Fillers/Botox, Keloid Scarring or scar easily. The client will also make the Master Cosmetologist aware of any allergies needed.

1.4 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. shall not be held liable for any damage occurring as a result of the clients failure to disclose such details.

1.5 The client will list all medications taken in the last 30 days.

1.6 Pre and post photos of the client will be taken and are to be used at Kani Gordon Hair Group Inc.’s discretion and in accordance with its legal requirements for documenting all work done. The client can request for his or her identity to be kept private.

1.7 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice and all new amendments will override previous terms and conditions.

1.8 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. reserves the right to amend our pricing structure at any time and without prior notice.

(2) NON-SURGICAL HAIR REPLACEMENT SERVICE

2.1 Cranial (Hair) Prosthesis (Hair Replacement Service) is the choice of the client and the client alone and the client agrees to any actions or conducts reasonably necessary to perform the treatment.

2.2 The Hair Replacement Service involves the the application of covering or replacing the hair that you are currently missing on your scalp with a hair replacement system (a unit). Hair replacement services are provided to those who have suffered from various forms of hair loss that is non-reversible due to irreparable damage caused to hair follicles.

2.2 Crochet Services include braiding of he scalp, and styling the install hair that covers the current braided hair on your head.

2.3 While we have never come across a single case of an allergic reaction to our the adhesive or the hair being used, allergic reactions can occur. We can carry out a patch test to determine the likelihood of developing an allergic reaction to either the hair or the adhesive.

2.4 The client understands that this process includes zero downtime, is applied at a topical level, and is not painful.

2.5 For best results, the client must comply with our written aftercare instructions, in case these instructions are not followed the life of the unit may be compromised until their next service.

2.6 The initial process requires 4-5 hours for application. We recommend that clients plan accordingly as intricate services can not be rushed. We want our clients to feel relaxed without other pressing engagements surrounding the service. 

(3) MAINTENANCE AND LONGEVITY OF YOUR UNIT

3.1 Hair Replacement pieces can have a life expectancy of 2-4 months. Proper care and maintenance are required for optimal results and longevity. Units can sometimes exceed 4 months but are strictly and uniquely case by case.

3.2 Maintenance is required once a month and no longer than 1.5 months which is often reserved for clients traveling from out of state. Maintenance consists of shampooing hair while still attached to the client, re-adhering areas that may have experienced slight and minimal lifting, and restyling (refer to price menu for most up to date pricing)

3.3 There are mainly three different types of maintenances:

Routine maintenance -consists of shampooing hair while still attached to the client, re-adhering areas that may have experienced slight and minimal lifting, and restyling usually happens every 3 to 4 weeks.

Extensive maintenance – consists of shampooing hair while still attached to the client, re-adhering areas that may have experienced more pronounced lifting, extra detangling/ conditioning, cleaning, and restyling (refer to price menu for most up to date pricing)
usually occurs in the second month of wear.

Reattachment – consists of complete removal of the unit and thorough shampooing of both client and hairpiece. Prep work experienced in the preliminary application is done for the re-adhering of the existing hair unit. Cutting and styling of the same then follow as normal. (refer to price menu for most up to date pricing)

3.4 Units come in a variety of textures from kinky and coily afro textures to straight. Colors are also available depending on the texture selected. Customization of color is also available during service, however, consultation is required.

(4) TREATMENT WITH OTHER PRACTITIONERS

4.1 For those clients wishing to add to existing work performed by an alternative practitioner, the work will be charged at the assessment price. On evaluation, Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. reserves the right to refuse treatment to those clients seeking to add to existing work undertaken with an alternative practitioner.

4.2 For those clients who wish to remove and repair work undertaken by an alternative practitioner, we recommend Removery Atlanta Center for this type of work. At this type Kani Gordon Hair Group does not offer removal services.

(4) PAYMENTS

4.1 The client will be quoted a fee during a personal consultation or by photo analysis. Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. will complete the work for that fee.

4.2 All Hair Replacement Services require a 50% deposit to reserve your spot. All Hair Replacement Services begin at $1000.00. Deposits are non-refundable, however you can move your time within the same calendar year before you forfeit your deposit completely.

4.3 The balance will be paid on the day of the first session if paying by card or cash. If you have opted in for payment plans via PayPal you will make your payments via their subscription service, an on the day of your service payment will not be needed.

4.4 The client will receive a receipt for each payment.

4.5 We accept: Visa and MasterCard and PayPal online services. Please note we do not accept checks, or bank transfers.

4.6 If paying by card on your appointment day, please advise your bank of the payment in advance so that they are aware it is a genuine transaction. Payment must clear prior to treatment commencing, so any issues with blocked transactions may result in the cancellation of your session and the retention of your deposit.

(6) APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

For all consultations, you have a full 48 hours for a full refund. After this time period, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Appointments may be moved up to 2 times in the same calendar year without penalty to deposit. After this deposit is forfeited. 

6.1 When you ask us to schedule treatment for you, we must do several things in advance of your chosen date:

Order and Purchase Your Hair
Order additional products and coloring supply
We must turn down every other client who would like to have treatment on the day and time we have reserved for you
Because of the financial and time commitments, we must make, we ask that you be definite about your desire for hair replacement services and be certain that you have the funds available before asking us to schedule your appointment.

6.2 50% of your deposit is due at the time of booking. If you request cancellation of your service or are unable to attend for any reason, this deposit is non-refundable.

6.3 If you are financing your appointment please make arrangements before booking our services. If you later cancel your treatment, a calculation will be made accordingly as laid out in article 6.1 to include any direct charges imposed on the clinic by the finance company for the provision of these services.

6.4 Cancellations due to emergency or illness will be assessed on an individual basis. Postponements caused by unforeseen events will be assessed on a case by case basis. In all other instances, if you request cancellation of your reservation, the deposit sum will be retained as a cancellation charge.

6.5 Should you arrive for your reserved appointment without any means of paying the agreed appointment cost that is due, Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc. reserves the right to cancel your session. An additional administration fee would be chargeable to reschedule your treatment to an alternative date.

6.6 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc will endeavor to ensure that your appointment runs to schedule, however, for reasons beyond our control, we may need to cancel or postpone your treatment at short notice. In this unlikely event, every effort will be made to contact you in advance. We do not offer compensation if we cancel your appointment.

6.7 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc will not be liable for costs arising from scheduling changes in the provision of our Hair Replacement Services, including (but not exclusive to) travel costs, accommodation costs, any economic cost to the client relating to time taken off work or loss of potential earnings.

6.8 Due to a high volume of appointments and limited availability, we will not accept last minute appointment additions. For example, if you’ve booked for a haircut that is the only scheduled for 45 minutes, we will not be “squeezing” in a color as well. Nor will be squeezing individuals in between appointments.

6.9 After one no call / no show appointments, you will be hindered to book future appointments with Kani Gordon Hair Group.

6.10 All new appointments require a consultation. There will be a 15-minute grace period for all appointments. The online booking system sends out reminders about your appointment through both email and text message. Please be sure to pay attention to these messages for on-time appointments.

(7) CHEMICAL PROCESS WAIVER RELEASE

7.1 By accepting an appointment and paying for Hair Loss and Alopecia Services the client acknowledges the dangers of chemical processing of the hair. They further understand that the guarantees for work performance as long as they follow the instructions given on the proper maintenance of the chemical hairstyle (or Hair Replacement Service). They further understand that permanent weaves, permanent or permanent or temporary colors, adhesive or relaxers are all considered chemicals. The client further understands that the services rendered are at their own risk and release Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc and their team members of the chemical process or hair loss service form any liability involving these services.

(8) LICENSING

8.1 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc is licensed by the local authorities to perform Hair Replacement Services under the provisions provided within the State Board of Master Cosmetology.

(9) PREMISES

9.1 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc will ensure adequate sanitary accommodation is available.

9.2 Kani Gordon Hair Group, Inc shall ensure sanitary convenience is clean and inefficient order

9.3 The salon will be equipped with a suitable wash basin with running water.

9.4 All tools used by Kani Gordon Hair Group salon have been cleaned and are in regulation with Sanitation Laws

(10) SALON ETIQUETTE AND POLICIES

10.1 Children Policy – Please use the Kani Gordon Hair Group experience as your “personal pampering time. Children are not allowed unless they are receiving services.

10.2 Guest Policy – Due to the nature of the Kani Gordon Hair Group experience that we wish for every customer to have, we are requesting, that there be no additional guest accompanying you while being serviced. The salon space is limited. Anywho does come, will be asked to be seated in the waiting area, outside of the salon suite.

10.3 Pet Policy – The state board of cosmetology and the board of consumer affairs have specific rules and regulations stating that no animals are allowed in a salon at any time. Service dogs with official “service animal” vests and documentation are the only exception to this rule. In the event that you must have a service dog, please notify us in the consultation to discuss if we can accommodate your specific service needs.

Note: As we continue to serve you with excellence and integrity, it is of great importance to preserve the creative space for the best possible service to be rendered. For each appointment booking, the acceptance of these policies will be required. Please respect these policies and accept our appreciation for your understanding.
