SMP: YOUR PERMANENT BUZZ CUT

SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION SERVICES

There are numerous benefits to opting for a hair replacement system. These include:

  • Seamlessly matching and blending with your existing natural hair
  • Non-surgical (eliminates the risk of infection, need for a local anesthetic
  • Different options for both men and women
  • Choose from any color, texture, length, and style hair
  • Low maintenance

One of the best things about opting for a hair replacement system is that if you decide you want to change your look at a later date then you can do it! Since hair replacement systems are non-surgical, they are easily changeable.
Scalp Micropigmentation is also great for those with only minor thinning or recession. By accurately replicating your own natural hair follicles and hair color, scalp pigmentation can help strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an undetectable illusion of thicker, stronger hair.

What is Scalp MicroPigmentation (SMP)

Scalp Micropigmentation is essentially a hair tattoo that mimics a hair follicle, giving the appearance of a full head of hair. Using hair-color pigment, a needle is used to inject the pigment into the areas of the head affected by hair loss. Unlike other hair restoration methods, scalp micro pigmentation is non-invasive, quick, and shows immediate results.

How many treatments should I expect?

Scalp micropigmentation should never be considered a one treatment process. Most clients can expect between 2-4 sessions to complete their treatment depending on the extent of hair loss or scarring. At Kani Gordon Hair Group we have back to back weeks on the same day of the week. So when you book your first session expect to return the following week for up to two weeks after.

Does Scalp Micro Pigmenentation (SMP) hurt?

Most people who undergo Scalp Micro Pigmentation report minimal pain. While the needles are fairly large and scary looking, hair tattoos are less painful than traditional tattoos. And unlike some other hair restoration procedures, patients won’t feel pain after scalp Micro Pigmentation. Some soreness is to be expected, but the pain of this procedure is very little. In the event that you do feel pain will provide an anesthetic 30 minutes before your arrival time.
Before your session we offer an anesthetic  but we first make sure you have no form of allergies.

How long are the SMP sessions?

The Scalp Micropigmentation treatment typically takes 2-4 hours per session depending on your degree of hair loss. Most clients can expect between 2-4 sessions to complete their treatment depending on the extent of hair loss or scarring.

How long does SMP results last?

After completion of your treatment (2-4 sessions) a client should expect the strength of the color to last for many years. Over a longer term, a client will very gradually begin to notice slight lightening (not discolor) of the treatment. When this occurs we recommend our SMP refresher session to restore any fading and secure many more years of their style. We recommend an SMP refresher once a year.

Is Scalp Micro Pigmentation detectable?

Scalp Micropigmentation has become such an effective hair loss solution because of its consistently natural and undetectable results. Kani Gordon Hair Group prides itself on the ability to seamlessly replicate each individual hair follicle to create a perfect match for each client.

How many treatments should I expect?

Our pricing is based on the level of hair loss, which is different for each client. Typically, the price ranges between $1500 – $5,000. All appointments require a consultation so our team can evaluate your case and provide a personalized price quote based on your hair loss needs.

Do I need to take time off work for my Scalp Micro Pigmentation appointment?

Scalp micropigmentation is non-invasive and requires no down time. In most cases, you will not need to take any extended time away from work, school, or other functions. After treatment it is common to notice slight redness on the scalp for 2-3 days post session. This redness subsides quickly and most clients return to work either right away or within a couple days.

What is the difference between scalp micro pigmentation, hair tattoo, micro pigmentation and scalp tattoo?

Scalp Micropigmentation is not just a traditional tattoo. Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a form of permanent cosmetics, but unlike tattooing or permanent makeup, the treatment replicates the look of short cut hair by using pointillism techniques. Scalp Micropigmentation utilizes different equipment than traditional tattooing, ensuring the needle and machine are designed specifically for micropigmentation of the scalp.
